Major economic changes are coming to EVE. Moons are being reallocated resource wise and moon mining and reactions as we know it will disappear forever. This has been an investment bonanza already. I hope you watched the GS_ISK topic for the last 2-3 years, as well, those that did are now richer than fuck. Your fellow Goons and the alliance have prepared double digit trillions worth of stockpiles and investments to offset disruption and to supply our machine. This means we are the most prepared in EVE for the coming storm and most other null alliances have little to no real stockpiles. We have been stockpiling a portion of our production for almost 3 1/2 years at an alliance level. We shutoff Delve and Querious completely over a month ago. Our bodies are ready for the coming sexing.
However, changes in EVE beget changes in our polices. This post serves as both general guidance on our strategy as well as the hard rules for the new EVE. We have mostly known what we would have to do for months. There was some chance CCP would implement better taxation methods at the same time as the structures, but alas, that is not so at launch. We had warned CCP early on to get taxation right. They are definitely on the right path but do not appear fully ready yet . So being men of our words…..since we are not getting a really rich taxation mechanic at launch we are going to have to go with nationalization.
There is a LOT changing economically and it behooves you as a player to understand the coming storm. Instant cutover, major baseline player effort hours spreading to new areas, thousands of moons needing to be structured, not to mention the frenzy of the major players (mostly just us) preparing for the onslaught. This is the most disruptive but also the most fair and content generating. We haven’t seen CCP this brave in a long time. Not since prior to Walking in Stations was introduced.

Second, prepare to be able to react at scale by training your chars in the new skills. These are already available. Buy Reactions, Mass Reactions and Advanced Mass Reactions and train them now. You have enough time if you start this weekend to be basically good to go at launch. Just missing a couple or 3 slots. I am personally only starting this part now also as I have been super busy so you haven’t missed out. There are also several new skills for reprocessing the new moon ores. Train those also if you intend to mine them or refine the outputs. All the new skills are under the Resource Processing group.
Third, if you intend to react, then whatever inputs you need you better already have or be buying up right now.
Fourth, read these rules if you want to be a part of the new economy. We are going to make this as easy as possible for the average Goon. For the purposes of this post I am discussing GSF space. Allies will do whatever they choose with theirs.
Refineries must be alliance owned. Both Reaction and Moonblasting. We do intend to sell these off in the future if CCP gets taxation right. So persons that are interested in owning your own moon cracker have but to wait I hope. But for now, all the refineries will be nationalized. Each spawned belt will be FFA. The alliance will set the timers and we are going to do our best to publicize them in a free and open way. We are going to have a small tax on this. Far smaller than anyone privately running one would set. We are thinking a 1% tax on reprocessing right now.
The alliance will spam them as fast as we can get BPOs going starting in 1DQ and surrounding systems and also 7G. We will expand from there as necessary as the indexes require. These will be the largest and T2 rigged for maximum possible bonus’s. For planning purposes assuming you should try to consolidate all your reacting to 1DQ1 and 1 jump or Bridge out. Spurting out like ISK making goo splatter from there.
We are going to spam them on all the scanned moons that are good as fast as we can. This is a massive logistical efforts so support GSOL as much as you can. This is a landrush like EVE hasn’t seen since drone regions were created or perhaps PI was introduced.
Lastly, if you aren’t a miner yet you may want to consider becoming a part time one post patch. Moongoo mining is going to be something far more lucrative than any other null activity in the short term at least.
