More than 600 capsuleers, many of whom are in capital ships, have converged on the system of Dal in the Heimatar region, reportedly over an Athanor refinery structure. A Pandemic Legion Hel taking part in the battle was also reported to have been the target of a dread drop, but it has not been reported to have been destroyed as of yet.
Nearly 200 billion ISK in ships have already entered the butcher’s bill, and the fight has been reported to still be heavily ongoing as of the time of this posting.
Over 80 different alliances from varying coalitions across the entire galaxy have descended upon the system. Players in the fight who could be reached for comment were unable to provide many additional details, and the fighting is “a clusterfuck”. Currently, even the sides of the battle are difficult to ascertain.
More information will be posted as it becomes available on the situation.
UPDATE: Butcher’s bill has exceeded 300 billion ISK. FAXes from various sides have begun to fall to dread fleets. The PL Hel is believed to have extracted. No word as of yet on the status or fate of the Athanor.
