SAFIZON: At approximately 18:07 New Eden Standard Time (NEST) Amarr Empress Jamyl I (aka Jamyl Sarum) was killed when her Avatar-class titan came under concentrated fire from Drifter-class battleships. The alien ships appeared some hundred kilometers from the titan and fired a short barrage that left the Avatar a crumbling wreck. Empress Jamyl, a known capsuleer, was killed moments later in a follow-up fusillade targeting her pod. The Amarr Navy escort fleet of Aeon-class supercarriers have left the field and according to Amarr senior officials have set course to Amarr where ‘their presence is requested”. All Amarr forces are reported to be mobilizing to engage any threat present. The Avatar wreckage remains on the field, perhaps showing it will be some sort of monument.

UPDATE: News agency The Scope has released a video of the attack, stating ‘the condition of Empress Jamyl Sarum remains unknown’, but numerous capsuleer witnesses have confirmed first-hand observation of the Empress’ capsule being destroyed.
