Beeitnam: Week 61

Week 61 was down again after week 60’s still busy action. INN tracked 14 hostile actions, a more normal week in line with previous months. Delve was largely home to the action, but nearly all of the action was structure bashes across the Imperium home regions, as they continued to scour their space of hostile citadels.

[Editor’s Note: As the war has reached its anniversary, INN’s tracker is now split between the July 2020 to June 2021 events and July 2021 onwards. The first year’s data remains broken, but the author is tentatively hopeful the Year 2 data will calculate moving forward.]

There were two fights in week 61 that exceeded 20 billion ISK in total losses. The first included a Goon bomber group showing up to a small dreadnought brawl in Cloud Ring. The second had Imperium Kikimoras shredding through a TEST home defense fleet, taking some Rorquals down in the process.

The three major theaters are the North (Fountain and the border with Aridia and Cloud Ring as well as western Delve), the South (the rest of Delve, Querious, and Period Basis), and the East (Paragon Soul, Catch, Stain, Immensea, and Esoteria).

Action in the North largely shifted to kills in Aridia. Horde lost a weirdly fit Ragnarok titan and Fraternity lost a Wyvern. TEST later lost a Keepstar in Irmalin which was facilitating evacuation of asset safety assets from Delve.

In the East, former Legacy alliance members Eternal Requiem lost a Keepstar in Impass, while TEST lost a Keepstar in Catch, one of the original erected at the beginning of the war as a staging citadel for assaulting Querious.

Over the course of the week, TEST lost a Fortizar and Keepstar; Brave lost a Sotiyo, a Fortizar, and a Tatara; Horde lost a Sotiyo.

Fights around New Eden were headlined by conflict in Cloud Ring, where Triumvirate battled with Deepwater Hooligans and others over the border system from Syndicate. Triumvirate took a beating, losing 110.6 billion ISK to the 54.3 billion of the attackers. Later in the week, the Imperium and friends showed up in Outer Passage to hassle TEST as they attempted to settle in to their new locale. The Imperium killed 40 billion ISK for 8.6 billion in losses, including a FAX and three Rorquals. At the end of the week, one of the former Legacy members also lost a Hel.

As the war has largely come to an end in the Southwest of the Galaxy and there are nearly no former PAPI citadels, iHubs, or TCUs remaining in the original war zone, INN has elected to wind down our coverage of Beeitnam. This week represents one of the final updates of the war and it has been a real pleasure to act as INN’s correspondent. Next week’s article will include a retrospective of some of the highlights of the war from the INN archives.

Thank you, Ban, for consistently providing these updates for well over a year. I read your updates back in July and August of 2020, and was convinced to rejoin EVE. Many people probably rejoined this game because of your writing. We look forward to your next war updates, probably in 2023, when some mega-coalition once again thinks they can poke the hive and still survive.

Meanwhile on the meta side of things.

In a shock to no one who was paying any kind of attention it seems that Brave leadership have been more than economical with the truth. Just this week we have seen a statement from Dunk Dinkle stating that Brave leadership were not part of the PAPI command structure. This was done as an internal statement to Brave members. Then Reddit user “papisnowden” released leaks where Brave leadership is in a PAPI command channel. Then in some weird play Shattered Armor (Military Director of Brave) made their own follow up statement that confirmed they had deliberately misled their members. The best bit about that was it was just to save face of the Brave leaders.

FIRE and the newly formed PIBC Coalition (AoM, Vindicitve, Dread Bomb, RC and others) are having a bit of a tussle over sov. How this shapes up is yet to be seen. Other parties may also be interested in turning up. Fraternity have said a lot about AoM for instance. Can PanFam resist aiding the renter wing of FIRE?

TAPI leadership has been screeching about Imperium being blue and having NIP agreements, yet failing to provide evidence of either. All the while TAPI have NIPs seemingly in place with Winter Co, PanFam and FIRE at least. It also became quite apparent that the love affair between Brave and TAPI was well and truly over. But hey at least Brave did not relocate to be land locked by former enemies after failing to deliver on promises of content.

Watching the PAPI house of cards still collapse in slow motion is quite the sight. I have no doubt that there will be more revelations to come.

I’m still waiting to see if we get to watch brave split and implode in a true, Dunk v Sharted thunderdome like event. The leaks only showed sharted armer in that room and dunk has insisted more than once over the past few months that brave had no say in things, it seems plausible that dunk had no idea that “brave” had been invited to the cool kids club.

I can tell you for a fact that Shattered Armour made decisions for Brave and committed to promises to TAPI that exposed Catch to the burning it deserved. Dunk Dinkle was taken for a ride and bless their logistics guys like Norman who tried to save the stuff belonging to their line members. Dunk then goes telling their members stuff in catch was safe for 2 weeks before beginning the “Urgent consolidation in Querious” was hilarious. The mini sota 2 weeks after I deployed Welp to Catch was the best thing I have ever seen or helped cause. It was the beginning of winning the war.

The small part of that deployment I got to be part of was fun as hell.

As an outsider who doesn’t play the game but is more interested in the bloc level politics of it all. I have no sympathy for BRAVE at this point. If they collapse and implode, that’s on them. Dunk means well but let’s be honest isn’t really all that great of a leader – he’s more of a likeable and relatable figurehead. Sharted Armer a sub 70 IQ toolbag trying his hardest to be like Piggles and even to this day I think is a TEST plant – he could be the real leader of BRAVE which makes it worse for them. Seeing some BRAVE line member posts on reddit, they’ve drunk the kool-aid pretty deep and it seems like they got a healthy dose of stockholm syndrome unfortunately.

The recent statements and admissions by Dunk and Shithead shows seemingly conflicting stories but does point to one thing. Like the rest of PAPI, BRAVE has absolutely miserable leadership which screws big swaths of their membership.
