The night of May 11-12th, 2015, was a very good night for The Confederation of xXPIZZAXx, with the group racking up over 300 billion ISK in dead supercapitals and capitals over the course of less than six hours.
The mayhem began when Stephan Schneider of Love Squad got the inital tackle on the Erebus of The Kadeshi‘s Lector Kanwari in 4-07MU, a Catch system on the border with Querious. Schneider and other Pizza interdictors had chased the titan two systems from its cyno in 8QT-H4 before getting the tackle on the in-gate.
Even before the bubbles went up, regional allies were called in to assist with the kill. EON Alliance and Pizza brought a combined Ishtar fleet from Delve, while the Imperium’s Reaver Special Interest Group burned a second Ishtar fleet from eastern Querious.
As the EON/Pizza Ishtars engaged, The Kadeshi brought in a defensive fleet of varied fast-response subcapitals, and over a dozen triage Archons. Meanwhile, Darkness., a key Kadeshi ally, formed a fleet of mixed Legions and Lokis, and set off in pursuit of the Reaver fleet. As the Reavers joined the fight, their stragglers and latecomers found the way completely sealed off by the Darkness. fleet on the Querious side of the 49-U6U/4-07MU gate.
However, the T3 fleet would remain on the far side of the gate as a cyno on the combat grid brought in waves of Pandemic Legion supercarriers and titans. This sealed the fate of not only the striken Erebus, but also twelve of the thirteen Archons brought in to save it. According to the final tally, the Kadeshi forces lost a total of 147b ISK, including the 117b ISK Erebus, while the combined attacking forces took only 1.36b ISK in losses.
Less than two hours later, Pizza was on the hunt again. This time, a pair of Nyx Supercarriers from Dangerous Voltage were caught in N8D9-Z, in Delve. Once again, allies and enemies mobilized to assist or defend, including Imperium bombers, Harpies, and Ishtars, and Darkness. strategic cruisers. This time, however, Pizza was on-field with dreadnoughts of their own, and while some of the stealth bombers were able to get in on the kills, the first Nyx died, and the second self-destructed, before the main group of either set of reinforcements could arrive.
Another two hours into the overnight, and another supercapital from Dangerous Voltage would find itself the recipient of Love Squad’s tender affections. This time, it was the Leviathan of Jen’ka, caught in GOP-GE in Querious. Pizza would take this titan kill on their own, fielding a mixture of dreads and subcaps, and the titan died without any notable defense arriving on-field.
The death of a titan in EVE is always a notable thing. To orchestrate the destruction of two separate corporation’s titans in one night, along with a pair of supercarriers and a dozen carriers, is definitely something worth watching. As always, TMC extends its congratulations to the killers.
