EVE Valkyrie is making the rounds at E3 this year and with that comes a B-roll of footage of the latest build, which is playable at booths on both the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Morpheus VR HMDs. The last time Valkyrie was in the public’s hands was at this year’s Fanfest providing a pure PvP experience. However, the build showing at E3 appears to have some newer features, such as overhauled UI elements, and instead is giving attendees a peek at the campaign mission premiered in the Fanfest Valkyrie gameplay trailer.
Ryan Geddes, Global Brand Director at CCP, appeared on the PC Gaming Show to promote the footage and the game. When asked about whether Valkyrie will ever combine with EVE, he said: “We see EVE Online and EVE Valkyrie as very separate experiences… it’s very different than EVE and they work very separately from one another.” As yet, CCP have yet to talk about any specifics regarding any integration with EVE, leaving such features likely further down the roadmap for Valkyrie.
Valkyrie went into Alpha back in May, inviting a number of select testers to put the game’s netcode through its paces on both European and US servers, with more players being invited in waves as the test progresses. Valkyrie is slated for release along with the Oculus Rift in Q1 of 2016.
