Iron Armada has made the decision to leave Goonswarm Federation. By the time you are reading this, it will already have happened. This is not an occasion to be mourned. Iron Guard CEO Tridgit summed it up nicely.
“It’s just the right time for Iron to leave GSF and pursue small alliance life again. GSF took us in when we were burned out, and allowed us to sit on their couch. It wasn’t intended to be this way, but our drive to log in requires different circumstances. We leave in awe of the organization, infrastructure, and the dedication to long term realities of EVE.
“There are multiple reasons why GSF is the strongest alliance in the game right now. Solid military leadership under Asher, fast reactions to changing mechanics and balance changes by the leadership team, and an actual political leader that logs in and holds weekly meetings where any and everyone is invited.”Iron members have met many friends within the organization, and will likely keep in contact with many of them. We depart with no malice, and we wish GSF good luck and good hunting in their future endeavours.”
Iron Guard <FE-SR> was founded in 2014 and was the primary (and only) corporation in Iron Armada (FLEEP) until it closed its doors last summer. The corporation of mostly North American time zone pilots has a strong culture of aggressive PVP participation and individual pilot self-sufficiency. Iron Armada has reinvented itself several times through moves from low sec, to NPC null sec, to sov null.
Iron has an inclusive culture based on learning and improving, and a very active core of mentors, including yours truly. Teamwork and initiative are rewarded with not being mercilessly booted as a filthy casual. Iron Guard actively recruits Omega pilots interested in, or willing to learn, PVP combat. Iron’s doors are currently closed to Alphas.
